Tutu is definitely one the nicest guys I’ve ever known. Hands down. Go randomly ask 10 people, and ELEVEN people will vouch for Tutu! ^_^
So when Tutu asked me to be a part of the big day, I jumped at the opportunity. And when I met Dhani, I knew rightaway how Tutu fell hard for her. ^_^
Tutu and Dhani, may these pictures be an eternal reminder of your happy day, and may you two keep finding ways to fall all over again everyday ^_^
The bad flu attack really made my Semarang-Surabaya trip a real drag. The bad coughing, sleepless nights, and having to carry EVERY single gear in one big HEAVY bag was not fun at all ^_^
But nothing could beat the feeling of being there when love happens. Nothing could beat the feeling of successfully eternalizing a moment. ^_^ So you suck it up, tough it out, and show up. As you’d forget about the hardships as soon as you see how the pics come out. ^_^
It felt like I’d known Tri and Dinie for ages, really. Was it really that far back? Not really. Did we rack up that many hours/days? Not really.
I once said in one of my writings that nice people really get through to you. You can just feel the sincerity and the warmth. And folks, that’s what makes good people. You just… feel so good around them that it seems you’ve known them forever.
Rudy had been shooting next to me for a little over 2 years now, and I’ve got to say it’s very rewarding seeing him grow. And the time had come for him to handle a project by himself. So, without further ado, I proudly present Rudy! ^_^

Hi folks, this is Rudy with my 1st post and also my 1st time shooting in Semarang. So, pardon the excitement ^_^. I just wanted to say that I was blessed to capture these wonderful couple, Jeffrie and Margaret. Jeffrie is the most patient man I’ve ever known. He is like a prince with white horse, and his best men are the jesters specially imported from Singapore…. I kept teasing them all day long, and believe me; these guys will do anything I told. How fortunate they were that I didn’t tell them to fly from top of the hotel roof =D I am sure they would happily oblige.
And what can I say about the bride. She is simply the most beautiful tomboy accompanied by her loving family. They just kept offering me “kue mangkuk & baso goreng” specially made by her mom. And I could hardly stop eating that because they were so darn delicious…perhaps this was one of thousand reasons why I keep failing on my diet -_-
OK, enough with all the jokes. People can easily understand the meaning of “complement” just by looking at them. And from what I can see, it will certainly last ever after.
Jeffrie & Margaret, congratulations once again, here’s for a lifetime of happiness.
Gunawan is my old old old friend.. We go so far back that when we first met, Walkman had not even been invented yet, ^_^ So when he buzzed me a couple of years back, it really was a very nice surprise.
I never got very close to Gunawan back in the days, I was the nerdy unpopular kid, while he was the popular one, ^_^ Bu…t several brief meetings with him and Lily, you can’t help but know that these two are meant to last. No they’re not two of a kind, they’re not even similar in characters (Gun had been to hell and back personally, ^_^). But what one has, really complements the other. And that’s what it takes, in my personal (but strong) opinion, for couples to last.
Gun and Lily, congrats! Here’s to forever!
It was arguably the most laid-back 2-day wedding we’ve ever had to cover ^_^
The mood was just perfect. Happy yet unrushed. Simple yet still elegant. Just perfectly paced.
But, knowing how Edwin and Tika are, that shouldn’t have come as a surprise. They were just gliding, smooth-sailing through the 2 days, as if the crui…se control button was there for them. ^_^
Here’s to a lifetime of smooth sailing! ^_^
I couldn’t be more ecstatic for Peggy when I heard that she was getting married. I was practically jumping up and down (well, in my head and in my heart, at least ^_^) on her wedding day that I couldn’t help but laugh and smile all day; and thankfully, getting her bridesmaids and maid of honor to laugh as well.
Why? Because she deserves to be happy, more so than anyone I can think of. Why? You’ll agree with me when you get to know her. Why? Stop asking why and just be happy for her dude! ^_^

All kidding aside, lucky for me that Agustin was such a happy-go-lucky-super-duper-easy-going gal that the pictures turned out fantastic!

People keep asking me how it feels photographing your own baby sister’s wedding, and they’ve been quick to point out how weird it must feel, ^_^
But, to be completely honest, it didn’t feel weird at all. In fact, the whole day was filled by so many things that it never got the chance to start feeling weird. And, the big brother in me was at the wheel much more than the photographer in me (and big big thanks to Rudy, Mario and Tobias, for helping me get these beautiful touching pics).
Our family was really happy for Danny and Fang2, but couldn’t hold back the tears as we were seeing how our baby sister had grown up so fast, starting her own family. My dad, not surprisingly I guess, found it the hardest to let go. Yet, at the end of the day, he was glad that it was someone as good and kind as Danny, who won his baby daughter’s heart.
